“Our hearts grow tender with childhood memories and love of kindred, and we are better throughout the year for having, in spirit, become a child again at Christmas-time.”
― Laura Ingalls Wilder
Main Street in Placerville becomes dazzling with Christmas lights and holiday décor dressing up the shop windows. Take a stroll with a loved one and get your holiday shopping done at this scenic and historic old town. Stop by one of several cafes on Main Street and grab a coffee or hot cocoa first thing to sustain you so you can do more shopping before dropping. Buying thoughtful gifts for family and friends is customary during the holiday season, but keep what’s most important this Christmas in your heart, then everyone around you will enjoy the season no matter what is or isn’t purchased.
